Requirements

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field required
• 1-3 years' experience working in a computerized medical laboratory required
• Epic or other LIS system training
• ASCP or AMT Certification required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field
• ASCP certification

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the LIS and related activities.
• Building new test modalities.
• Implementing system upgrades and interfaces.
• Trouble shooting both software and hardware.
• Resolving system/instrument error messages.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of hospital information systems and understands the relationships among these systems.
• Assists the Director in managing process improvement activities, trouble shooting and decision-making.
• Educates and serves as a resource on LIS to internal laboratory departments and external departments.
