About The Position

Assist and perform a wide range of chemical and physical analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. Operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions generated by processing industrial or consumer products. This role requires strong hands-on laboratory expertise, adherence to safety and quality standards, and close collaboration with engineers and scientists.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in STEM
  • Hands-on experience in Mechanical instruments, heavy lifting
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, goggles, etc.
  • Vision: Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception
  • Sense of Sound: 55 decibels, adult conversation
  • Sense of Smell: Able to detect odors
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Have fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
  • Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures as described in the Jacam Catalyst handbook.
  • Adhere to Jacam Catalyst’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-4 years of oilfield experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work in a laboratory environment that may contain chemical odors.
  • Perform assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while performing assigned duties.
  • Collect data, document test results, and assist report preparation.
  • Maintain, operate and calibrate high-pressure, high-temperature lab equipment.
  • Perform material compatibility tests with various solvents and chemicals.
  • Assist on sample preparation for failure analysis based on customer request.
