About The Position

This position is for a Laboratory Demonstrator/Tutorial Leader for the CHM231H5F - Inorganic Chemistry I course. The course covers atomic structure, periodic properties of elements, bonding theories (ionic, covalent, metallic), structure and bonding in coordination compounds, descriptive chemistry of metals, and reaction mechanisms. The role involves laboratory demonstrations, leading tutorials, marking, and potentially invigilating term tests and final exams. The course is delivered in-person and is expected to have approximately 160 students. There are an estimated 4 positions available, dependent on course enrollment.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry
• Sound knowledge in contents covered in the course
• Good communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous TA experience working with undergraduate students in Chemistry laboratory and/or tutorial setting
