About The Position

The Laboratory Coordinator I, under general supervision, supplies, maintains, and organizes laboratory equipment. Prepares materials and trains teaching assistants. Please Note: The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
• One year of related experience
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
• Ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.

Responsibilities

• Teaches or assist in teaching general biology laboratory courses.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Coordinate laboratory prep and breakdown of teaching labs.
• Maintain and monitor safety policies with EHS,(safety forms, disposal, EHS audits.).
• Maintain department equipment inventory and reporting.
• Maintain and monitor Account Activity binder of all accounts use for purchasing supplies and equipment for labs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
