We are searching for a talented Laboratory Call Center Specialist to join our Outreach Lab in Dartmouth, MA. This role is crucial in supporting the Laboratory Outreach Program by acting as a liaison to clients, patients, and providers. The specialist will handle inquiries and resolve issues related to specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery, and billing across various laboratory settings, including hospital sites, SPG offices, Patient Service Centers, and the mobile outreach team. The position also involves documentation, investigation of work queue exceptions, participation in quality events, supply maintenance, and assisting with the appointment desk.

Requirements

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school required.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology or additional courses or training required.
  • A minimum of one year related work experience is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and solve problems related to laboratory specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery and billing.
  • Provide support for all areas of the Laboratory, including all hospital sites pathology, SPG offices and all Outreach Patient Service Centers as well as the mobile outreach team.
  • Careful documentation and follow up of all patient and client related activity.
  • Investigation and resolution of work queue exceptions.
  • Participation in any Laboratory related Quality events.
  • Supply maintenance.
  • Assisting and providing coverage for the appointment desk Call Center representatives.
