This position is for a Laboratory Call Center Specialist, working 40 hours on a day shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, including one minor holiday, and is located at the Outreach Lab in Dartmouth, MA.

Requirements

• Equal to completion of four years of high school required.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology or additional courses or training required.
• A minimum of one year related work experience is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Laboratory Outreach Program acting as a liaison to all clients, patients, and providers in our primary and secondary market areas.
• Responds to and solves problems related to laboratory specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery and billing.
• Provides support for all areas of the Laboratory, including all hospital sites pathology, SPG offices and all Outreach Patient Service Centers as well as the mobile outreach team.
• Careful documentation and follow up of all patient and client related activity.
• Investigation and resolution of work queue exceptions.
• Participation in any Laboratory related Quality events.
• Supply maintenance.
• Assisting and providing coverage for the appointment desk Call Center representatives.
