About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This is the busiest lab in the city and serves Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's/OB, Acute Care, and walk-in patients for lab work. The role involves assisting in laboratory activities, preparing specimens and supplies, potentially entering laboratory orders and results, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy
- Collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens
- Assisting in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
- Aiding in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies
- May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment
