About The Position
Center for Reproductive Medicine is a premier medical practice specializing in the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of infertility, providing each patient “every conceivable chance for success.” Our Minneapolis state-of-the-art laboratory is currently seeking two (2) part-time Laboratory Assistants to work alongside our Andrology and Embryology teams. College students looking for healthcare experience are encouraged to apply! Following training, you will be scheduled to rotate between Andrology and Embryology departments.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED required
- At least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment and handle multiple tasks with a detail oriented approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire and ability to thrive in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Some college courses in biological or health sciences or medical technologist/medical laboratory science focus preferred
- Previous/current phlebotomy skills and experience highly desired, but not required
Responsibilities
- Check in patients at department front desk
- Schedule appointments
- Answer andrology phones
- Process related paperwork
- Potential to serve as backup phlebotomist
- Set-up and assist the physician during egg retrieval procedures
- Autoclave instruments
- Quality control of lab supplies and equipment
