About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This part-time position will work every other weekend and full-time will work every third weekend, with three holidays per year and five to six on-call weekends per year. We provide on-the-job phlebotomy training and offer excellent opportunities to grow your career with us. The PM Shift has varying start times, starting anywhere from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.
• Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies.
• May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results.
• Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
