Assists with laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Helps prepare laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data. Maintains a safe and professional laboratory work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.
- Assists with laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
- Helps prepare laboratory specimens and supplies.
- May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results.
- Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data.
- Maintains a safe and professional laboratory work environment.
