About The Position

The Laboratory Assistant assists with laboratory activities and other assigned tasks, including phlebotomy and the collection, preparation, and processing of biological specimens. The role may include entering laboratory orders and results. The assistant helps prepare laboratory specimens and supplies and ensures laboratory data is accurate and of high quality while working in a safe, professional environment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) is preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in a laboratory-related field.
