Laboratory Assistant - PRN
About The Position
Join our lab team in providing exceptional patient care and gain valuable medical skills while playing a critical part in our patients’ diagnoses. Start your career with us and make a difference in our patients’ journey to recovery! This position provides coverage as needed, Monday-Friday, with no weekends. It includes 4-6 weeks of phlebotomy training in-department. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens. The role assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks, aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies, and may be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. The Laboratory Assistant ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
