This position exists to support the research studies of the Principal Investigator (PI), Tippi MacKenzie, M.D., in understanding the genetics of congenital disorders and developing new therapies to treat them using genome editing, gene therapy, and related approaches. Our work involves both research in animal models and as well as patient samples, in the broad area of maternal-fetal precision medicine. We have created a vibrant team of scientists, doctors, and students who share this mission and are looking for motivated, bright, talented individuals to join us. We are part of the UCSF Broad Stem Cell Center and benefit from the collaborative research environment in our neighboring labs. Our close-knit, multidisciplinary team provides an excellent training opportunity: past research associates have secured positions in medical school, graduate school, and the biotech industry.
