About The Position

As a laboratory assistant, you will be a member of an agile team responsible for biological specimen receipt, identification verification, processing, and storage. In addition, you will perform a variety of clerical, processing, and other laboratory duties that include maintaining supply inventory, filing, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning. This position is located at the Superior Drive Support Center where immediate parking is available. The Lab assistant position will focus on ancillary tasks performed within the operations.

Requirements

• Standing/walking 95-100% during shift
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull greater than 75 lbs.
• Repetitive motion hand/wrist
• Grasp/Pinch
• Hearing requirements
• Full use of both hands
• Color-identify and distinguish
• Ability to verbally communicate
• Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program
