The candidate will be engaged in research seeking to design, fabricate and deploy microneedle wearable sensors. Specifically, the candidate will be tasked with producing a microneedle-based sensing device able to measure molecular transport of clinical targets from blood to the dermis interstitial fluid. To do this, the candidate must build wearable patches with microscopic microneedles to access the interstitial fluid in the skin and modify the needles with sensing chemistries developed by the laboratory. The candidate’s work will help us understand the extent, and speed, with which important molecular targets navigate to the dermis.
