Laboratory Assistant III: 40 Hours Per Week (PM)
About The Position
Ascension St. Joseph – Chicago is seeking a Laboratory Assistant III for a full-time position. This role is responsible for specimen processing and the analysis, evaluation, and reporting of waived and moderately complex laboratory test results. The goal is to provide appropriate specimens and accurate data in a timely manner, in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards. Ascension St. Joseph is part of Alverno Laboratories, a highly reliable scientific organization building a culture of service that advances the health, wellness, and continuity of care in the communities it serves. It is one of the largest integrated laboratory networks serving hospitals in the Midwest region, with a network that includes 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is required
Nice To Haves
- Twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months of related experience is preferred
