Laboratory Assistant II
About The Position
Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC seeks a Laboratory Assistant II for the PDL Specimen Processing department. The role is responsible for front-end, pre-analytical operations in the assigned area and serves as a front-line public relations representative of the laboratory team. The Laboratory Assistant II is expected to maintain professionalism in a stressful and unpredictable working environment and work under appropriate levels of supervision as required by regulatory agencies. The position processes specimens, uses Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems for data entry and retrieval, provides client services, performs microbiology procedures, and operates automated instrumentation to a limited extent.
Requirements
- Minimum computer keyboard skills.
Nice To Haves
- College-level coursework in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and/or biology.
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Clinical laboratory experience or comparable training and experience that provide skills to perform the job tasks competently.
Responsibilities
- Process all types of specimens.
- Operate Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems for data entry and retrieval.
- Provide client services.
