About The Position
Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC seeks a Laboratory Assistant II for its Specimen Processing department. The role is responsible for front-end, pre-analytical operations in the assigned area. Laboratory Assistant IIs are front-line public relations members of the laboratory team and must maintain professionalism in a stressful and unpredictable working environment. Work is performed under appropriate levels of supervision, as required by regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Minimum computer keyboard skills.
Nice To Haves
- College-level coursework in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and/or biology.
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Clinical laboratory experience or comparable training and experience that provide skills to perform the job tasks competently.
Responsibilities
- Process all types of specimens.
- Use Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems for data entry and retrieval.
- Provide client services.
- Perform microbiology procedures.
- Perform limited operation of automated instrumentation.
