Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory
About The Position
Laboratory Assistant at Petaluma Valley Hospital, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts. Process laboratory specimens; perform clerical duties; maintain daily quality control data and assist in maintaining laboratory equipment; assist Medical Technologists in clinical laboratory tests; complete all send outs; answer the phone to assist units with laboratory questions; perform phlebotomy and assist with the collection of other types of specimens. Requirements
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License (Upon hire)
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License (Upon hire)
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of college coursework/training
- 1 year of experience as a clinical laboratory assistant in an acute care laboratory
