About The Position
Bureau Veritas is looking for a Laboratory Analyst - Microbiology to join our environmental laboratory in Saint-Laurent, QC. This role involves providing general support in the analysis of samples, performing complex sample preparation, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of work by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The analyst will also be responsible for meeting quality control criteria, troubleshooting analyses, contributing to corrective action procedures, maintaining equipment, and planning work using summary reports.
Requirements
- Diploma and/or equivalence in Microbiology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a microbiology laboratory
Responsibilities
- Provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation
- Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation in microbiology
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses
- Provide input to corrective action procedures
- Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work
- Any other related tasks
