About The Position
EMSL is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) in Indianapolis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science is required
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Nice To Haves
- 0 to 1 years' experience working in a lab setting with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame AA
- Preparation and analysis of samples using ICP
- Laboratory work environment requires care when handling acids, solvents, and other reagents
- Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
- Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
- Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones
- Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
