About The Position

This role involves various tasks within a food processing environment, focusing on deboning, weighing, packaging, and preparing products. Team members will be required to use tools like knives and scissors for cutting and trimming, and must maintain constant focus and concentration to ensure food safety and quality. The work environment includes an automated line with mechanical conveyors or shackles, increased noise levels, varying temperatures, and a damp/wet environment.

Requirements

  • Good personal hygiene.
  • Adherence to local, state, and federal health codes and standards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Constant focus and concentration required to ensure a quality product is produced and safety is maintained from potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SSOP and GMP.
  • Knowledge of all product wash areas.
  • Consistently perform duties throughout entire shift.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions.
  • Adhere to attendance policy.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Debone shoulder and remove bone from thigh using a wizard knife.
  • Operate a scale, make weight, and apply product labels to weighed boxes.
  • Operate a CVP Machine to seal product bags.
  • Cover product with the correct amount of C02 or ice.
  • Palletize finished product by stacking correctly on a pallet.
  • Line boxes with bags.
  • Pack trays of chicken to company and customer standards.
  • Perform additional cutting or trimming using scissors or knives.
  • Maintain constant focus and concentration for food safety and quality.
  • Adhere to company and customer standards.
