About The Position

This position is responsible for creating and managing daily schedules for all production lines, ensuring that company and temporary employees are assigned based on their skill sets, availability, and training. The role involves making necessary adjustments to the schedule based on business demands, implementing labor guidelines, and tracking attendance. The Labor Scheduler also prepares and distributes daily staffing reports, reviews timecards for accuracy, and manages the check-in process for new temporary workers and visitors. Additionally, this role ensures GMP compliance, supports interplant communication, manages the plant de-crewing process, and ensures adherence to union guidelines. The position also involves distributing paychecks and assisting in identifying trainers for new staff.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills: Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Work flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of a 24/7 operation.
  • Positive attitude, exemplary leadership ability and able to handle conflict resolution with varying personalities.
  • Must be able to multi-task and produce immediate results.
  • Self-motivated and able to make sound business decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP

Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages daily schedules for all lines using Master Schedule for all company and temporary employees based on skill set, availability and training.
  • Make changes to the schedule as business demands and ensure standard labor guidelines are implemented, reducing labor if necessary.
  • Attendance Tracking
  • Prepares and distributes daily staffing reports to leadership.
  • Review timecards daily and make necessary adjustments as applicable, such as checking hours, line codes, breaks and line sheets for accuracy, reviewing call-ins and entering vacation/personal time.
  • Submit daily attendance to temporary agencies.
  • Check in all new temporary workers and review expectations.
  • Check in all visitors to the facilities.
  • Ensure all employees are GMP compliant to begin working their shift.
  • Support with interplant communication for shift needs.
  • Manage plant de-crewing process.
  • Ensure union members work within union guidelines and company uses union guidelines as required for assignments, shifts and seniority.
  • Distribute paychecks on payday.
  • Assist in identifying trainers for all newly placed temporary staff and HFS staff.
  • Other duties as identified or assigned.
