About The Position

The California School Employees Association (CSEA) is seeking a Labor Relations Representative (LRR) for their Field Office in Orange, CA. This role is crucial for representing union members, recruiting and training them, leading political action, and advocating for their rights. CSEA, established in 1927, represents over 250,000 school employees across California in various roles such as para-educators, administrators, food service workers, bus drivers, nurses, and skilled trades. As the largest classified school employee union in the AFL-CIO, CSEA is dedicated to improving the lives of school employees, securing benefits, pensions, protections, and funding. Responsibilities

Recruits and trains members
Negotiates contracts
Provides leadership to rank-and-file negotiators and committees in collective bargaining
Represents members in hearings
Identifies and develops member leaders, chapter officers and stewards
Influences members and staff
Develops members who are committed as advocates for the union
Assists with representational matters
