About The Position

Swickard Auto Group is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Paralegal to join their in-house legal team in Las Vegas, NV. This role will support the legal department and Human Resources with employment disputes, government agency charges, litigation, compliance, and investigations across multiple states. The position requires strong organizational skills, deadline management, and experience in employment litigation, agency charges, and multi-state compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of paralegal experience in labor and employment law, either from an in-house team or law firm, and understand how to support both legal counsel and HR stakeholders. Experience with litigation support, California employment law, and document management is essential for this hands-on role in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in labor and employment law from an in-house legal department or law firm -- required
  • Experience with litigation support -- discovery, exhibits, case file management, and deadline tracking -- required
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including government agency charge processes, PAGA, FEHA, EEOC, DFEH/CRD, and state-level compliance requirements
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a compliance-focused environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document and matter management systems
  • Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential employment matters with complete discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred
  • California employment law experience is a strong plus -- wage and hour, PAGA, FEHA, and CFRA familiarity highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Support management and defense of government agency charges -- drafting position statements, gathering evidence, organizing documentation, and coordinating with in-house legal counsel and outside counsel for EEOC, DFEH/CRD, NLRB, and state agency matters
  • Assist with employment-related disputes and litigation -- managing discovery, preparing exhibits, maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with the in-house legal department and outside counsel
  • Draft and review routine employment documents, separation agreements, arbitration agreements, demand letters, and correspondence
  • Maintain employment law compliance calendars and track regulatory deadlines across all operating jurisdictions
  • Support workplace investigations -- organizing documentation, preparing summaries, and maintaining investigation files
  • Conduct legal research on federal and multi-state employment law issues as directed by the in-house legal or Human Resources departments
  • Maintain organized case files and records within the company's matter management system and document repositories
  • Assist with the company's employment policy updates and handbook revisions
