About The Position

The Seattle, WA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking a junior attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice. Lewis Brisbois prides itself on offering a collegial, team-oriented, supportive environment for its attorneys. Although we expect junior attorneys to work hard, grow and take on more first-chair responsibilities as they mature, we understand that this process means different things to different attorneys, and we work with them in ensuring that they are getting the experience they need and want while not forcing them to take on responsibilities – such as taking depositions or first-chairing trials – that they do not feel ready for. Lewis Brisbois' Labor & Employment Practice represents clients from coast to coast in all phases and types of employment litigation, counseling, and training. Our team of employment professionals is spread throughout our locations across the United States and provides clients with sound counsel in dozens of jurisdictions. Requirements

Admitted to practice in Washington.
At least three (3) to four (4) years of experience in employment law matters.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Dedication to the practice of civil litigation.
Experience assisting senior level attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses, speaking with clients and opposing counsel, and drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
At least some experience preparing for and assisting with trial preparation (i.e., experience drafting witness and exhibit disclosures, motions in limine, preparing witnesses) and with second-chairing a trial.

Nice To Haves

Candidates who have less relevant experience but a demonstrated interest in employment law.
Experience handling charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and WSHRC and drafting position statements and responding to inquiries from administrative agencies.

Responsibilities
