About The Position

A nationally recognized AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Jacksonville office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers in sophisticated employment litigation, labor matters, workplace counseling, internal investigations, and compliance issues across a wide range of industries.

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of labor and employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing employers in employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies
  • Experience handling claims involving Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, ERISA, restrictive covenants, wage and hour disputes, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination
  • Experience drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents
  • Experience taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, participating in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Experience advising employers on workplace policies, employee relations, compliance issues, internal investigations, and day-to-day employment counseling
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and client counseling skills
  • Ability to independently manage litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Florida bar admission required or ability to become admitted
