About The Position

The Labor and Employment Operations (L&E Ops) Generalist serves as the operational engine for the team, bridging the gap between employee relations, employment investigations, and other labor and employment operations and administration. Serving as the primary triage point for incoming teammate inquiries across multiple channels, this role requires keen judgment to assess high-risk or sensitive workplace concerns, and then transition them to the appropriate team. The Generalist is responsible for the seamless execution of critical employment processes—spanning HRIS transactions, disciplinary action reviews, and unemployment claims. Beyond daily case management, the successful candidate will support cross-functional initiatives, and champion continuous improvement by leading projects that optimize the team’s overall efficiency and workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of HR experience with exposure to employee relations preferred.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment, discretion, and strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee concerns and information.
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
  • Able to work autonomously on daily tasks while recognizing when to escalate high-risk issues.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (e.g., analyzing data sets, VLookups, pivot tables).

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of HR experience with exposure to employee relations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations and employment investigation inquiries from various sources (e.g., ServiceNow, email, Compliance hotline) and effect resolution by responding, diverting and/or escalating as appropriate.
  • Exercise sound judgment to triage employee-related concerns and assign to the correct team for review.
  • Process termination-related HRIS business transactions (e.g., involuntary terminations, rehire eligibility requests).
  • Provide operational support for DaVita's clinical teammate training program by tracking manager check-ins, reviewing documentation submissions, and processing performance-based business processes.
  • Facilitate the disciplinary action review process, which includes processing teammate requests for review, preparing documentation, and organizing weekly committee reviews.
  • Manage unemployment claims administration by monitoring the team's inbox to address inquiries and act as a liaison to support third-party vendor operations.
  • Design and deliver data-driven reports and presentations to guide leadership decisions and support daily operations, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead small scale projects within the labor and employment operations team, including process creation and improvement.
  • Serve as the team’s administrator for the enterprise case management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
