Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Microsoft office (6 months - 1 year)
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Data entry required and the ability to function in our MRP system in order to enter transactions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Responsibilities

  • Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
  • Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor.
  • Retrieve label components and transfer to the appropriate location in Label Department.
  • Cycle count, inventory control, inventory disposal.
  • Work with AM’s and QA to pre-approve label templates for all finished good items.
  • Create master carton labels per work order.
  • Work with the Wax Dept. & QA dept. to identify when batches are to be able to assign date codes to work orders.
  • Prep shop orders for production lines as well as stages for the entire order and issues labels per shift.
  • Send date code/master carton information prepped on work order electronically to printers on production floor, ShopVue terminals.
  • Reconcile components at the end of each shop order.
  • Ensure accuracy of issuing and scrapping of material in IFS.
  • Order/Maintain essential supplies for production.
  • Maintain and basic trouble shoot Zebra printers.
  • Ability to read and interpret information on shop orders and provide accurate counts for labels being produced.
  • Effective verbal and oral communication skills; need to interact with account managers, managers and supervisors daily.
  • Ability to operate label printer and other equipment and troubleshoot any problems.
  • Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, and good judgment.
