About The Position

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. We have an opportunity for a Label Specialist to join our team supporting the Project Management Team, Operations Team, and our customers. This role involves printing and inspecting labels for clinical and commercial packaging and distribution. Work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices, and standard operating procedures. The position requires attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and collaboration across teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
  • 0–3 years of clinical labeling experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project management, engineers, customers, and staff.
  • Ability to plan and independently implement multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Willingness to share skills and information with others.
  • Team-oriented approach to achieve results.
  • 20/30 corrected vision and a colorblindness test.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in business computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, manage, and request logbooks accurately for inspecting labels in label control.
  • Complete and manage documentation and paperwork for label creation and inspection.
  • Inspect English text, foreign text, multiple panel, and commercial labels for accuracy.
  • Review and approve randomization logs for accuracy.
  • Understand blinding requirements and inspect labels accordingly.
  • Maintain and request logbooks for printing labels, ensuring awareness of space and equipment logbooks.
  • Calibrate and adjust printer settings; set up and use Printronix and Zebra printers correctly.
  • Clean and maintain Printronix and Zebra printers per standard operating procedures.
  • Understand printer ribbons and their appropriate uses.
  • Run print jobs, verify barcodes, and generate reprints and required paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
