About The Position

The Label Control Operator I is an entry-level operator responsible for pulling and releasing labeling materials for the production and packaging departments while maintaining and complying with cGMP. This position monitors changes in processes, schedules, and documentation while communicating with the appropriate manufacturing personnel. It involves identifying required materials and creating movements of those materials using SAP P83 barcode tags to transfer them between buildings, placing them in a label control destination in a timely fashion to effectively support production requirements. The role also includes retrieving batch records from Document Control, preparing and verifying labeling components, producing and maintaining an inventory of tags, and participating in company training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • No previous experience needed.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations with the use of a calculator is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs on a consistent basis.
  • Must be willing and available to train on 1st shift for several weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling and releasing labeling materials for the production and packaging departments.
  • Monitoring changes in processes, schedules, and documentation.
  • Communicating with appropriate manufacturing personnel.
  • Identifying required materials and creating movements of those materials using SAP P83 barcode tags.
  • Transferring materials from one building to another and placing them in a label control destination.
  • Retrieving batch records from Document Control.
  • Reviewing batch records for accuracy.
  • Issuing materials in accordance with FIFO, SOP, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy by performing daily cycle counts.
  • Producing new sequentially numbered tray tags for the Production Departments.
  • Creating and maintaining an inventory of tags for various Production Departments (e.g., Segregation tags, Sampling tags, Filter tags).
  • Participating in and completing all company training requirements.
  • Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP, and Company policies.
  • Performing other tasks and sharing in overtime responsibilities as needed.
  • Coordinating using the Packaging Schedule.
  • Lifting cases of labels, inserts, etc., up to 35 pounds each.
  • Operating assorted manual conveyance equipment (dollies, hand trucks, flatbed carts, pallet jacks).
  • Using ladders.
  • Preparing, assembling, and verifying all labeling components required for the Packaging Department in a timely and accurate manner.
