Lab Tutor in Diesel Equipment Technology
About The Position
This is a part-time position available as a Tutor, based on the semester system. Under the supervision of the Technical Studies & Engineering Technologies Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the Tutor will be responsible for assisting students with their course and lab work. The role also involves assisting the Diesel Technology department in maintaining lab setup/takedown and ensuring lab safety requirements, along with other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia. Lab Tutor positions are part-time appointments on a per academic term basis, with no expectation of employment extension beyond the term.
Requirements
- Completion of Diesel Equipment Technology courses DIET 1000 and 1010 with a grade of C or higher.
- Knowledge of Diesel electrical and electronic systems used on medium/heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Diesel preventive maintenance procedures pertaining to medium/heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Lab Safety procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Diploma in a related field.
- Two years industry experience in diesel equipment field.
- Relevant certifications.
