About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to ensure the performance and quality of 3M’s consumer products.

Requirements

Two-year associate degree or higher in a relevant scientific field (ex: chemistry, biology) from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, valid Driver’s License
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within consumer products or a related industry
Working knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes
Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols, procedures, and best practices
Hands-on experience operating laboratory equipment and instrumentation
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately
Strong organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Performing a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on consumer products, following established protocols and procedures
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data accurately and efficiently
Operating, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
Preparing samples for testing, adhering to strict safety guidelines
Using computer software to document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing
Training others on sample preparation, test methods, and lab protocols
Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
