About The Position
The Lab Technician performs tests on samples for quantitative analysis, quality control, and process control. The role also involves general maintenance of laboratory equipment and the physical maintenance of the laboratory. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment, random, and annual drug and alcohol testing, including marijuana testing.
Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and understand work orders for all received samples.
- Perform required analyses according to customer and industry standards and requirements.
- Document each test result neatly and accurately.
- Prepare corresponding analytical reports.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control testing and assist with control charts.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
