About The Position

Perform process control and certification laboratory testing and analysis in support of manufacturing operations. Responsible for the verification of product and material characteristics and completion of associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records, utilizing a range of laboratory techniques and methods including, but not limited to chemical analysis, mechanical, physical and electrical testing on coupon, sub element, sub scale and full scale test articles. This responsibility will be discharged under the authority delegated by quality. The Calibration Technician 2 role is responsible for carrying out the required standard activities of their assigned tasks, in full compliance to the Work Instruction and/or Standard Operating Procedure, and without compromise to their own, and colleagues, safety. They will be expected to actively identify safety concerns (Hazard identification), make problems immediately known to their TL (Pull the Andon), and raise improvement ideas to solve problems (Kaizen). They will be part of a team that will collectively work on creating a Great Place to Work through a culture of continuous improvement, safe working and open dialogue.

Requirements

Perform process control and certification laboratory testing and analysis in support of manufacturing operations.
Verification of product and material characteristics and completion of associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records.
Utilize a range of laboratory techniques and methods including, but not limited to chemical analysis, mechanical, physical and electrical testing on coupon, sub element, sub scale and full scale test articles.
Carry out required standard activities of assigned tasks in full compliance to the Work Instruction and/or Standard Operating Procedure.
Ensure own and colleagues' safety.
Actively identify safety concerns (Hazard identification).
Make problems immediately known to their TL (Pull the Andon).
Raise improvement ideas to solve problems (Kaizen).
Work independently to Calibrate gauges such as Calipers, Micrometer, Pin Gauges, Steel Rulers, weight scales, ovens, recorders, vacuum gauges, pressure gages.(ETC)
Understand Industry Standards such as ISO 170025, AMS, and ASTM that pertain to Calibration.
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
Complete Calibration Certs and enter into Gage Trax software.

With Supervision perform certain Calibration jobs as assigned, are able to assist during calibration of Autoclaves.

Complete Calibration Certs and enter into Gage Trax software.
Compliance and Ethics Policy on Contracting with the United States Government in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government
