About The Position

The Lab Technician will perform quality control inspection tasks, including verification of ingredient and product information, operational and pre-operational inspections, and ensuring products are manufactured according to FDA regulations. This role involves maintaining traceability records, temperature monitoring, and HACCP records, as well as following all safety requirements and verifying the accuracy of thermometers and product temperatures. The technician will collect, process, package, maintain, and retain samples for testing, assist associates in Quality Control and other departments, and evaluate product samples. Cross-training in Quality Control responsibilities and familiarity with all plant functions are expected. The role includes recording and processing customer complaints, compliance auditing, updating the plant reference book, and performing data entry to ensure products are manufactured under correct procedures from raw material receiving to finished product shipping.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to work with regulatory inspectors and other compliance officials
  • Must be able to work under pressure, be dependable and possess good follow-up skills
  • Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Must demonstrate safe working habits
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 25 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to learn and perform all positions
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
  • Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
  • Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

  • Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Access and Excel
  • Two year degree in science or related field
