Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have some knowledge of chemistry, math, and other sciences
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be capable of doing process evaluation trials in the plants when testing new processes or products

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred
• Some experience with laboratory techniques and equipment are desired
• Some experience in processing minerals

Responsibilities

• Testing and evaluating special samples
• Preparing samples for analysis
• Assisting the Lab Foreman on special projects
• Inspecting all material visually to ensure uniformity
• Checking labeling
• Collecting, processing, and analyzing mineral samples according to set procedures
• Documenting and storing all information accurately
• Operating all equipment in the R&D facility
• Performing other tasks as assigned
