About The Position

The Quality Assurance Lab Technician ensures product quality is monitored and tested in compliance with established procedures, specifications, and instructions. The role includes taking samples, performing tests as prescribed, reporting line-operation status to appropriate personnel, and recording information in logs and databases. The technician works at the GF Plant in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic math skills.
Ability to use basic laboratory equipment.
Good knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.
Good communication skills.
Organized, efficient, and able to manage time well.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Adherence to applicable standards, policies, and systems.

Responsibilities

Accurately complete quality grades using grading standards.
Enter product identity information for all products produced into an inventory database.
Perform requested tests and collect samples.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Provide prompt feedback to appropriate personnel about production-related problems, including excessive defects, mislabeling, package quality issues, downtime, and increased production.
Record information in logs and databases.
