About The Position

The Quality Assurance Lab Technician ensures product quality is monitored and tested in compliance with established procedures, specifications, and instructions. The technician takes samples and performs tests as prescribed, reports line-operation status to appropriate personnel, performs requested tests and sampling, and records information in logs and databases. The role is based at the GF Plant in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use basic laboratory equipment.
• Good knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized, efficient, and good time-management skills.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Adheres to applicable standards, policies, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes quality grades using grading standards.
• Accurately enters product identity information for all products produced into an inventory database.
• Performs requested tests and takes samples.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Provides prompt, timely feedback to appropriate personnel about production-related problems, including excessive defects, mislabeling, package quality issues, downtime, and increased production.
• Records information in logs and databases.
