About The Position

This job is in our dairy lab where tests are run on all manufactured products. These tests include checking butterfats, solids, pH, and various micro testing. The role involves gathering and maintaining samples for testing in an organized manner, as well as managing the paperwork associated with the testing. The position encompasses all aspects of daily operations, including organization, testing, paperwork, cleaning, and taste testing. The lab operates six days a week. We are flexible with scheduling, accommodating both full-time and part-time needs, and are open to hiring multiple individuals if part-time arrangements are preferred. Prairie Farms in Quincy has a long history of working with students in this manner for over 30 years, understanding that each student has unique circumstances. This opportunity is not limited to biology or chemistry students; students from any agricultural field or other disciplines may find it interesting and beneficial.

Requirements

Ability to work in a lab environment.
Willingness to perform various tasks including testing, paperwork, cleaning, and taste testing.
Flexibility to work around a six-day operational week.
Open to students from any field of study, not limited to biology or chemistry.
