About The Position

The Lab Technician prepares and analyzes plant and loadout samples using laboratory methods and instruments, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), Camsizer, and flame photometry. The role includes sample preparation and testing such as drying, particle-size analysis, and insolubles analysis, as well as accurately entering, analyzing, and reporting results in electronic systems to support product quality and plant operations. The technician also verifies laboratory instrument performance through routine testing, calibration checks, cleaning, and maintenance. The position works rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, with the schedule subject to change.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and sound critical-thinking skills.
Ability to follow laboratory procedures accurately and document results.
Ability to frequently walk and stand, and to perform work involving sitting, talking, hearing, visual inspection, color differentiation, precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and grasping.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and ladders; potentially work at heights; wear required PPE; and perform strenuous physical activity.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
