About The Position

As Lab Tech III, you will support daily laboratory operations and processing by handling product quality across the organization. You will make data driven decisions and perform physical and scientific analysis applying routine and special techniques. The ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks, and projects in a timely manner, resolve moderately sophisticated problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and collaborate with others are keys to success! Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of four (4) years’ related experience
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, testing, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with plant operations, lab testing, and lab testing equipment
  • Proficient in gas chromatography analysis and maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Petrochemical, Manufacturing or related industry

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with business partners to achieve facility and operational metrics
  • Performs maintenance, repair, and calibration on laboratory equipment
  • Maintains quality control standards within the laboratory
  • Generates and records appropriate data, performs analytical calculations and completes vital documentation
  • Identifies and develops process and procedure improvements
  • Prepares product samples for laboratory analysis
  • Performs special projects as the need arises
  • Mentors others
  • Other duties as assigned
