Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in science from an accredited college or university with one to two years related experience or training in a laboratory performing routine testing
  • Two to four years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a laboratory performing routine testing
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Ability to solve problems which require several steps of logic and calculation
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments along with personal computer to input data

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and LIMS, helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests to determine the physical characteristics of knitted and nonwoven raw materials and finished goods for quality assurance, process control, or product development.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate lab equipment and instruments including microscopes, digital micrometers, analytical balances, particle counting equipment
  • Test materials including knitted and nonwoven fabrics, masks, foams and other materials or products for cleanliness, absorbency, purity, etc.
  • Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications
  • Record test results on standardized forms or in database
  • Follow safety protocol for a lab environment
