Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in science from an accredited college or university with one to two years related experience or training in a laboratory performing routine testing
Two to four years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a laboratory performing routine testing
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Ability to solve problems which require several steps of logic and calculation
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to use precision measuring instruments along with personal computer to input data

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and LIMS, helpful.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory tests to determine the physical characteristics of knitted and nonwoven raw materials and finished goods for quality assurance, process control, or product development.
Set up, adjust, and operate lab equipment and instruments including microscopes, digital micrometers, analytical balances, particle counting equipment
Test materials including knitted and nonwoven fabrics, masks, foams and other materials or products for cleanliness, absorbency, purity, etc.
Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications
Record test results on standardized forms or in database
Follow safety protocol for a lab environment
