About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking a Lab Technician I for the 2nd shift. This role involves performing analytical testing of various vegetable oils according to Stratas SOPs. The technician will test samples at different stages, including production, and inbound/outbound truck and railcar samples. The company, Stratas Foods, is a joint venture formed in 2008, specializing in fats and oils solutions for Food Service, Food Ingredient, and Retail sectors. They aim to be the most valued supplier in the private label retail bottled oils market in the United States.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic data entry skills required

Nice To Haves

Three (3) years’ previous laboratory experience preferred

Responsibilities

Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary.
Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory.
Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).
Learn new procedures as necessary.
Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.
Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings.
Packaging line Quality Assurance.
Finished product and incoming material testing.
Storage of production retains.
Communication with supervisor/lead person/Lab Supervisor of laboratory results or quality concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
