Lab Technician I - 1st Shift

Under close supervision, perform routine chemical and physical analyses on a limited variety of materials for the support of fluid analysis, research and development, and production activities. This is an entry level position for a new lab employee with 0-1 years of experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or similar required.
- 0-1 years of experience.
- A good command of the English language is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
- Good communication and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, work on different projects at the same time, follow instructions, and think analytically.
- Must be a team player who is result/customer oriented.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of laboratory tests to be performed on process chemicals/fluids.
- Adhere to the principles of the Quality System.
- Perform tests per defined methods.
- Record data in accurate and concise manner.
- Recognize and react to out of spec data.
- Report data to internal customers.
- Make laboratory preparations under close supervision.
- Help keep laboratory clean and all equipment in good working order.
- Complete assigned work in a timely fashion.
- Adhere to all lab safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
