This position will perform inventory management of blood components, including reception, distribution, component transformation and minor equipment scheduled maintenance as needed at the Transfusion Service Core Lab. The shift is 2nd shift (2:45pm to 11:15pm) e/o weekend. Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Requirements

High School or GED required
No Experience Required

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
Perform inventory management of blood components, including reception, distribution, component transformation and minor equipment scheduled maintenance as needed at the Transfusion Service Core Lab.
