About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Lab Technician Assistant (Part-time Contract) for our Grain division based in Winnipeg, MB. The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. As a full-service agri-retailer, we provide farming communities with a full range of quality crop input products and agronomic solutions, encompassing crop protection products, certified seeds, nutrients, and custom applications.

• Knowledge and basic comprehension of lab terminology is an asset

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the various tests and procedures required to accurately grade the quality and condition of grain samples for growers, traders and P&H’s various facilities.
• Assisting the Quality Control Manager and Lab Technicians with additional duties as assigned.
• Preparing various samples for analysis and testing
• Reporting/logging detailed results of tests and samples
• Performing maintenance checks on equipment and log maintenance activity.
