About The Position
Performs routine and non-routine analyses for in-process samples and final products. Performs basic analytical equipment calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensures effective operation of the analytical equipment. Assures the quality of the analytical data provided to other plant personnel. Implements and verifies the performance of new equipment. Maintains high standards related to safety, data integrity, documentation, recordkeeping and housekeeping. Trains other lab techs and operators on applicable analytical methods.
Requirements
- Knowledge of common analytical techniques and instruments (pH, water, specific gravity, purity, color)
- Demonstrated laboratory experience
- 20 hours of college chemistry or relevant analytical/lab work experience
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel abilities
- Full-time 12 hour rotating shift position
- Overtime required as needed
- Willingness to learn other roles within the organization (operations, logistics, staff) to provide backup support as needed
