About The Position

Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program seeking a Lab Tech for part-time hours (up to 35 hours per week). The position involves specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results according to laboratory procedures. The primary responsibilities include completing and recording drug screen analyses and assisting with patient flow and administrative duties. Lynchburg Comprehensive Treatment Center is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Medical experience is required
• Documentation of training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens

Nice To Haves

• Experience drawing blood
• Experience recording drug screen analysis
• Current phlebotomy certification or willingness to get certified is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Receiving and setting up DSAs for testing
• Assistance in documenting when laboratory supplies should be ordered
• Verifying expiration dates to ensure appropriate levels are ready for use
• Checking collection dates on processed DSAs in holding refrigerators and disposing of them in a timely manner
• Performing cleaning of laboratory areas and equipment
• Assistance with intake patients
• Reception duties - including but not limited to checking patients in, communicating with other departments, answering phones, and assisting with the general flow of the clinic
• Perform other duties as assigned
