About The Position

The Lab Tech performs routine laboratory tests based on documented processes, ensuring data and results adhere to good documentation practices. This role involves general laboratory housekeeping and providing technical support while communicating scientific results. Key responsibilities include conducting laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and stability samples according to standard operating procedures. The Lab Tech is also responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, identifying malfunctions, performing simple repairs, or coordinating necessary repairs. Additionally, the position requires reviewing and updating standard operating procedures, strictly following all procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices, and reviewing test data, calculations, and results for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory.
Basic skills with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, etc.).
Experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory testing on raw materials, in process, finished goods, and stability per standard operating procedures.
Maintain laboratory equipment, identify malfunctions, and perform simple repairs or can coordinate repairs as needed.
Review and update standard operating procedures.
Follow all procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.
Review test data, calculations and results for accuracy and completion.
